How to Design a Brick Facade in BrickCraft

Everything you can do in the Designer when creating a new facade design.

New Design
Starts a blank facade. If you have unsaved changes, you'll be prompted to save first.
Load from DrivePremium
Open a previously saved design file (.json) from your computer. Premium only — free plans cannot load saved designs.
Save to DrivePremium
Download the current design as a .json file to your computer. Premium only — free plans cannot save designs locally.
Export ImagePremium
Save the current facade view as a PNG image. Premium only — free plans cannot export images.
Save to CloudPremium
Save the design to your BrickCraft cloud account (create new or update existing). Premium only — free plans cannot save to the cloud.
Undo
Revert the last change. Also Ctrl/Cmd+Z.
Redo
Re-apply a change you undid. Also Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z.
Move (Main Menu)
Default tool — click to select elements, drag to reposition them.
Paint Bricks
Switch to brick painting mode to recolour individual bricks.
Add Window
Drops a new window onto the facade, ready to drag and resize.
Add Door
Drops a new front door onto the facade.
Add Garage Door
Drops a new garage door onto the facade.
Tape MeasurePremium
Switch to measuring mode to measure distances on the facade.
Reset Design
Clears everything back to the default blank facade.
Select an element
Click a window, door, or garage door to select it (gold dashed outline appears).
Move an element
With the Move tool active, drag the selected element to reposition it. It snaps to the wall bottom.
Zoom
Hold Shift + scroll wheel to zoom in/out (30%–300%).
Pan
Hold Shift + drag to pan the canvas horizontally.
Erase a painted brick
In Paint Bricks mode, right-click a brick to erase its accent colour.
Cancel a measurement
While using the Tape Measure, press Esc to cancel the in-progress measurement.
Accent colour
Choose the colour to paint bricks with from the brick catalogue.
PaintFree limited
Click or drag across bricks to apply the accent colour to individual bricks. Free plans can paint up to 20% of the facade's bricks; Premium is unlimited.
Erase
Right-click a painted brick to remove its accent colour.
Clear all
Remove every painted accent brick from the facade.
MeasurePremium
Click two points on the facade to measure the distance between them.
Units
Switch measurements between metric (m/cm) and imperial (ft/in).
Snap mode
Free, Horizontal, Vertical, or 45° snap — constrains the measurement line.
Measurements list
All saved measurements are listed with their values; 'Clear all' removes them.
